    All-In Called with 8-High
On a flop of 10club7club5spade, Tim Rod bets $300 and his opponent raises to $600. Rod calls and the turn puts the 3club on the board. Rod again bets out with $1,500 and is again raised by his opponent to $4,000. Rod calls and the river puts the 3spade on the board. Rod pushes all-in and his opponent immediately calls. Rod flips up KclubQclub for a turned flush. His opponent says, "Do I have a straight flush? Oh, no I don't" as he shows 8diamond6spade for 8-high.

    IMAGINE DOING THAT?

    Hardest Beat EVER
Jack Mahalingam is all-in for $5,000 and is called an opponent in late position. Mahalingam shows 8s8c and his opponent has 5h5c. The flop is 6s5s5d and his opponent flops quads. The turn is a 9s giving Mahalingam a gut-shot straight flush draw (his only way to win). The river is the 7s giving Mahalingam the straight flush and the hand.

man that is harsh. Flopping quads. Only to be outdrawn. Hes not gona sleep for a week thinking about that one.

Was in a hand the other day. 3 players all in on flop. I have a set, other player has pocket pair and other needs a runner runner draw to hit flush or straight.

Turn gives me a house, giving player 3 a straight flush draw and leaves player 2 with 2 pair.
The turn gives player 3 a higher house and player 2 a straight flush. So i didnt even get the side pot.

More than that. If a full house aces full of kings gets beaten you get it - in the Fitz at least.

U serious? I never knew that. That must happen pretty often on an AAKJx board.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 321 ✭✭nicryan

    not really...the rule os:

in hold em you must have a house of aces full of jacks beaten while using both your hold cards and at least one of them has to be an ace, if its a house.

I've only every delt the bad beat twice (both in hold em) one was AK vs AQ on an AQ7KA board....and neither player (one of them a dealer) realised it was a bad beat =P...I wish I'd had the mental ability to look past the fact that I'd delt my first bad beat to take the piss outta the AQ player cause he was going on about how typical that was....before I said 'oh...bad beat'...

the other one was QQ vs A-Js on a 9Q10QK board....
