Anyone have any idea where I can donate old spectacles? I read somewhere that they can be sent to the African missions but I have no idea where to send them. The opticians told me to bin them. Thanks . Harry

There is a charity called Sightsavers, contact them and see what they say. Opticians used to take them, it's strange that they don't anymore.

If they're not huge square goggle-type frames then they're probably saleable. No need to recycle them. What type are they?

Try a local lions club. They take old spectacles and give them to people who need them
