Ok we have some patio slabs out the back that need revitalising , so we are thinking of painting em.

Is there any special patio paint I can get and has anyone got some suggestions?

You can get a matt type paint on coating called....Patio seal.
    I think Ronseal do it.

That sounds a bit like painting brickwork or dashing, once you've done it, you're stuck with re doing it again and again.
Have you tried a pressure washer to clean the slabs?

The problem is that my mother did it already with normal paint, so hopefully Ronseal Patio Paint does the job.

Thanks for the advice Hoagy and the great suggestion CJ .
