    Hiya :)
Recently order'd myself a macbook, however my music collection is on my family pc in iTunes.

Is there any easy way to transfer my music from the pc to the mac?..or even is it possible! Is there any differences in the files of iTunes running on windows than there is on a mac?

Would it be possible to hook both machines up using an ethernet cable and just transfer em?...i dont think thats possible though.

Any ideas/tips please let me know, thanks :D

    Will.

This is very easy to do if you have an ipod.
What you have to do is consolidate the library in itunes on the PC then use the ipod as a HD so you can copy the whole itunes music folder from my music (on the pc) onto the ipod. Then all you have to do on the Mac is copy contents of the itunes folder from the windows machine into the same folder on the mac and its done. You can then delete the folder from the ipod without removing your ipods music collection.

The video of how to do it exactly is here

If you have wireless then a wireless network easily allows you to transfer files directly. The thing i love about Mac is the ability to locate other computers on the nw without all that setting up a network crap that windows has.

I used an external hard drive to copy my music folder over. Faster than wireless (for the impatient :) )

Haha, I did that the other week, except I was dragging all the time - NTFS external -> iTunes -> iPod.
Took freakin' ages, but it worked.
