Has anyone replaced the keyboard on a Dell Inspiron 3800? And if so how did it go? (and where did you get the keyboard?)

It'll probably cost you a fair bit from Dell if your lappy is not under the warranty. I have spotted a few on eBay.

It shouldn't be too hard, the plastic where the power on button is located can be pulled out once a screw is removed and then its just a case of unscrewing 3-4 screws retaining the keyboard in place, disconnecting the ribbon cable from keyboard to motherboard, then reversing the proceedure with the new keyboard in place. The keyboard will run you a bit but try and pick one up cheaper on ebay.

Its even easier then it sounds here, it'd be impossible to actually mess it up :D
