Well, to try and rescue this one from a thread of lists that nobody will read...

I am very much looking forward to two films in particular.

The first film is For Your Consideration. Why? It's written by Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy (Of Spinal Tap, Best In Show and A Mighty Wind fame), it's got Ricky Gervais in it, and the premise is great. This should be the funniest film of the year.

The second film is Christmas On Mars. Why? Well, first and foremost, I love the Flaming Lips. Wayne Coyne is possibly the most charismatic, captivating man on the planet. He's also completely off-the-wall. Filmed over the course of years, with sets made by the man himself out of whatever junk was lying around his garden, and calling in friends from the industry to help, it's a real labour of love. This film wont win awards for acting, filmatography, direction or anything, but it will be fascinating to see a project like this reach the big screen - if it eventually does!

For me I am really looking forward to 'The Fountain', 'Apocalypto' and 'The Prestige'. Partly because I have no idea what to expect from any of them.

I'm also a less excited by, but still looking forward to seeing Clerks II and Spiderman 3, if I go down the blockbuster route I may as well throw in Shrek 3 and Potter 5 as well. I think i'm more interested in the look of Renaissance then the actual film itself.

And of course: Snakes on a Plane and Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny.

Pan's Labyrinth, for sure. I haven't seen much of Guillermo del Toro's work, but I did love Hellboy.
Clerks 2: Just can't wait for this one :)
Also looking forward to The Departed which is a remake of Infernal Affairs. I know people will groan at the word 'remake' but this has a pretty outstanding cast and is being directed by Martin Scorsese.
And of course, Snakes On A Plane :)

That's all I can think of for now.

Its quite good, as with alot of Asian movies I found it v.hard to follow the different characters at first. Theres a sequel and an American remake on the cards also.

It's damn good! But if you do like it, don't make the same mistake I did and wait about a year to watch the sequel, it will confuse the hell out of you :)

Cool. Vikings - Hollywood style! (and there's a nod to Braveheart in the trailer). Hope there's lots of decapitations :)

The poster for it is great aswell.

I can safely say that Pathfinder is not a movie I'm looking forward to. I've already been getting some fairly horrible "Dances with Wolves" vibes off the premise, and the trailer does nothing but worsen the idea, what with the fairly blatant demonisation of the Norsemen.

Maybe I'm just getting a little tired of the whole 'White person defends adoptive culture from his own kind' crap, but hey, it's Hollywood, what can I say?
