Taste of Beer

    Hi,
Over the years like I have drank most beers, lager, cider and stout on draught. About 18 months ago I noticed that after 2-3 pints of any of the above I found that my stomach was wretching and I couldn't face anymore. So I decided to drink long necks like Bud, Heineken, Bulmers etc (only if the bottles are very cold) and this has been OK up until the last number of months when again I can only drink a few bottles and I start wretching and can face no more. I can not drink the bottles if they are warm. Now this proving a problem when out with the lads as the only thing I can drink is shorts (vodka) with a mixer, which is a route I'm a bit wary of going down. Has anyone else experienced this and can they suggest a suitable drink which is widely available?
i really don't want to be in pubs drinking vodka, wine or bottles when everyone else is on pints. Also is very expensive.

I'd get myself to a doctor tbh, could be an allergic reaction to one of the chemicals in the beer.

sounds like you have an ulcer and the alcohol is causing you to retch. I had something similar. You need to get it checked out

I had that experience a few years ago except instead of just wretching i actually got sick:o anyhow it turn out i had ulcers and that was what was causing it.

note: not giving medical advice just my experience

Cool - the upshot, Celtic67, is stay on the still waters until you've been to the doctor and had your stomach checked out.

    Lockity lock'd.
