    Triahtlon in Laois, places available (€15). Involves 440m swim c. 20km cycle and 5km run. Relay positions available

    The swim would kill/scare the crap out of me.

    I'd like to do an off-road one... that'd be deadly. Swim accross a lake, up the mountain on the bike. And hill-run a bit.

    I think they are called X-Terra Triathlons. Not found too much round these parts, but growing in popularity in the UK and US.
