Do you have to go through a qualifier for the limited nationals, and if so, are there any left?

Yes, you need to qualify before you can go. The last qualifiers will be in Carlow on Friday 11th of August (day before nationals). Btw, nationals isnt just a limited event, the format is:

    Round 1: Constructed
    Round 2: Constructed
    Round 3: Constructed

    Rav Block Draft

    Round 4: Rav Limited
    Round 5: Rav Limited
    Round 6: Rav Limited

    Coldsnap Draft

    Round 7: Coldsnap Limited
    Round 8: Coldsnap Limited
    Round 9: Coldsnap Limited

    Round 10: Constructed
    Round 11: Constructed
    Round 12: Constructed

The constructed rounds will be done using one Standard legal deck which you must register before the match starts. there may be random deck checks during the event.

Rounds 4-9 are played with the most recently drafted limited deck you have.
Rounds 1-7 will be played on day 1, Saturday 12th of August
Rounds 8-12 will be played on day 2, Sunday 13th of August.

After the 12 rounds, there will be a cut to top 8. in general, 25 points are necessary to make top 8, although this isnt always true. this means that you can afford a maximum of 3 losses and 1 draw if you want to make top 8.

In top 8, three rounds proceed as follows:

    Round 13:
    1st V 8th
    2nd V 7th
    3rd V 6th
    4th V 5th

    Round 14:
    (Winner of 1 V 8) V (Winner of 4 V 5)
    (Winner of 2 V 7) V (Winner of 3 V 6)

    Round 15:
Winner of Round 14 Match 1 Vs Winner of Round 14 Match 2
