Ok heres the deal, I'm in the market for a new monitor. I basically need a decent 20"+ monitor for Coding,Gaming and Watching Movies/TV (a good viewable angle both Horizontal and Vertical). Looking to spend €400-500.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers all in advance.

I was actually thinking of the WideScreen Version of that. Anyone use them? Whats the viewing angles like? Is there any ghosting noticable when playing games?

Ilyama are really great. I have 3 year old 21' 9ms ProLite E511S LCD from about 3 years ago that's still a peach. It's as good as CRT.

In fact I'm considering buying another as my current GPU supports two monitors.

I just got a NEC LCD20WGX2 which is there 20" widescreen display and it is seriously sweet.

Perfect for everything {especially gaming 6ms} fantastic colors and great display controls it's one major advantage/disadvantage depending on your view point is it has a glossy screen which makes the picture more vibrant but also reflective, if reflective displays really bother you then this isn't for you.

It's expansion mode works quite well in that it will stretch the image to fit the screen when running at lower resolutions, native res is 1680x1050.

Oh yeah and the price these suckers are expensive at €600 from OCuK which is where I got mine. Also the stand isn't adjustable.

The Viewsonic VX2025 might be a better choice if you don't like reflective displays as it is similar to the NEC in performance but lacks a glossy screen.
