We've apparently agreed a deal with Man City for Lee Croft. What's your views on him? We desperately need a right sided midfielder/winger and hope he can do a job. We need cover in most places too :D

Crofty isn't a bad little player, hasn't really made the progression from the reserves to first team as was hoped two years ago, but has talent and would do well in the Championship. He is an out and out right winger so should deliver the goods. Any idea of the fee? I would hope something close to the £750k we got for BWP.

It's £800k. Apparently Leeds and Brum want to step in and scupper the deal but I think he'll be at Colney in the morning for talks.

Nigel Worthington tonight confirmed the Club have had a bid of £600,000 accepted by Man City for young winger Lee Croft. A further £100,000 will be paid if the Canaries achieve promotion.

Speaking after tonight's Craig Fleming Testimonial against Newcastle at Carrow Road, Worthington told reporters Croft had been to Norwich for a look around and a medical, and had now returned to Manchester to think things over.

"We have had an offer accepted by Manchester City for Lee Croft," Worthy said. "The lad has been down today to have a look around, meet some of the players and the coaching staff and has had a medical. He's now gone back home to think things over. I think the main thing is that he's a young lad and it would be his first time away from home, but we've stressed to him that this Club is absolutely first class when it comes to looking after young players in his position.

"Croft is a lively player who would give us extra options on the right - he's a good crosser of the ball, he's got pace and he works hard. We will have to wait and see."

Croft has made 32 appearances (28 as substitute) for Stuart Pearce's side and netted his only goal so far in the Premiership last year against Fulham.
