    Hi all,

    I hve a quick Q

Im heading travelling in a month or so and im creating a small website to keep people up to date.

My query is when im travelling, I would like people to know where i am or where i logged onto the internet last.

What would be my best way to achieve this - would it be by Ip addres or just manually entering the location onto a map?

    Any help appreciated

I've seen websites use Frappr to map out the location of their visitors on a modified Google map. You may be able to work out something, manually moving your personal marker from where ever in the world you log in.

I've never used Frappr myself though, so i can't really vouch for it.

    Depends on where your travelling...

    eg.
In Ireland, I am in Mayo but Eircom's broadband base is in Stephen's Green, so it says my ip is in St. Stephen's Green so that figure is approx. 180miles off target, bit too much for my liking...
In America, that figure would be accurate to within maybe a dozen miles, accurate enough...because the b/band station's in america are inevery corner.

I have seen examples such as the tourdeFrance using Google earth.
