Is it feasable to import a motorbike from the states? Can it have aftermarket pipes etc.? I have a Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 cc that I may bring over. Could I get it plated and would I need to put the quiet stock pipes back on? I was in Dublin last week and heard a few relatively loud Harleys so I thought they might be permissable,

I don't think there will be a problem. I can't find specific references to exhaust noise, there is just a general referance to noise here.

Also, you might want to familiarise yourself with the tax costs of importing the vehicle here.

By "aftermarket" I presume you mean open pipes on that bike? There are plenty of (relatively speaking) harleys with open pipes about, and many other bikes have the Microns/Scorpions etc.
