I might be offered a job with shift work (temp contract) soon, however I am planning to go to college in Sept if I get the required points. Do you think they would mind me leaving 4 weeks later? How would I go about it, just hand in my notice, etc? Or would I just warn them about it in advance if they offer me the job?

I took a job the summer before I went to college knowing full well I would be going to college. And it was the biggest mistake I have made, burned bridges with that company and have a gap in my cv as i dont want mentioning it.

    Dont bother.

tbh 4 weeks of pay is 4 weeks of pay and its so short there is no point to put it as a reference on cv anyways. I say take it. The contract will have a probabtion period of a few weeks anyways. Could even be 4 weeks. After that period you can just leave and dont have to hand in notice afaik.
