NTL, Media PC vs SKY+ multiroom

I have NTL analogue in living room and kids bedroom with Windows Media Centre on PC in kids bedroom for recording and DVD playback.

I want to add Sky Sports to living room TV and add a TV in the main bedroom. The kids don't need NTL or SKY, DVD playback is fine - could move the NTL connection to main bedroom.

Should I go with NTL for SKY Sports or get a dish - cabling is a consideration for new connection in main bedroom?
Should I go for SKY+ and drop the Media PC?

Is it best to route all sources to the attic and distribute from there or is this only really achievable in a new house during construction?

Well, you could get NTL Digital with Sport in one room. NTL Digital can work very well with MCE, you just need an IR blaster to change the channels on the Digital box.

I haven't tried MCE with this yet, but it certainly works well with my TiVo setup and a friend of mine uses Linux MythTV PVR software with.

A problem with going Sky, is that you will have to buy a mirror sub for each additional room at €15.
