Installing Smart readers and cards

I'm looking to attach roughly ten smart card readers to workstations in a windows domain environment and have maybe twenty people with smart cards to log in. Can anyone share any experience they've had installing this type of setup? Were did you purchase the readers and cards?

    Quick notes
*The workstations are wall mounted units with 2 usb ports so readers would also have to be wall mounted!

Any help would be most appreciated

Havent setup 10 card readers before, but they should act as extra drives and it sould be just case of share acceess on the card readers across the network.

What I want to do is have a user put a card in the reader, which then logs them in without having to enter a username and password.
