I was just trying to help out not be a mod etc - as you can see in the link to the systems/forums thread other people thought that it would be a good idea, but firstly a thread needed to be started.

the only reason I started the thread is - as you can see in the link to the systems/forums thread - because of the no of "omg you've gotta see this" threads, other boarders also agreed with this in principle hence this thread

1. Well hopefully if it is successful it will be made one.

2. There are more than enough vid links being posted on AH daily to keep this thread high up on the page thus negating the need to go off in search of it.

Go to feedback or something like that and request it. Like Femmy is saying, it'll just get lost here - and people will think you're tryin to be a busy body by trying to be too helpful. It's crap, but it happens

Bit of an old one, but this nerdlinger started a website about hating the troops in Iraq, and he gets ripped apart by Hannity and Colmes. Pretty bad reflection on the H&C, since they just got him on the show to make fun of him. Quite pathetic.

Just to point out that while the idea itself is good, the fact that each video that is posted will most likely bring a large amount of response posts with it means that the thread will be large, unwieldy, difficult to find the video's themselves and pretty useless for keeping you try during a summer shower.

Maybe a just video's, no comments thread?

Was about to make the same point. Should prob follow the Know your nerd thread rule. Would prob result in more workload for mods though.

but its not like every day the same thread is there, those threads are usually gone within the day. and its not like everythread these days is a youtube link. A forum on rec would be the job i reckon. but i think people post links here for people to talk/comment on them. A thread with no comments would be useless.

Easier to find a thread of a single video later though. You could recognise the thread by it's OP, title, etc. And you only have to check the first post to see if you're right or not. A single thread full of vids would be harder to search through.

Dunno bout other people, but if I like a video I save it or add it to my favourites, rather than keep searching for the thread I originally saw it in. Besides, people don't always title the thread according to its content. Perhaps if you're posting a video in this thread you could have a description in the subject field, and then it'll be easier to find if you're scrolling through (although not as easy as if they had their own thread -- but that doesn't really justify having a seperate thread in AH for each individual video).

And with relation to the comments, most posts following the OP are usually "lol", "lame", "old", etc etc. Sure, you get the odd one that creates discussion, but it's not the norm. Perhaps a seperate forum would be better suited, but I think it's worth trying out the single thread thing.

Both :rolleyes: 's were well thought out options imo. Today I was going to go with the :eek: option, but I feel happy in my origional choice.

Sometimes I may go for weeks without :rolleyes: ing anyone. And its advanced all the way
