Forgive my ignorance, but what is the procedure for getting a few tickets for the Hurling Semi Final between Cork and Waterford? Not living in neither county and know no-one on any board or panel...but with it being in Croke Park, will the tickets be released generally? any help appreciated....

Not until closer to the time. Seeing as you are computer literate, your best option is to keep an eye on Tickemaster.ie and get them from there when they are released. That will only be about a week before the fixture. All-Ireland Final tickets won't be available through that source, I can tell you now. For that, you will need to know someone.

    Got the tickets...happy days!

By the way...the ticketmaster alert service is useless....turns out they only send alerts once a week, during which time tickets might sell out in a one hour window.....

    doesnt bother me now anyway...:-)

barkeeper -- what part of Croke Pk are your seats in? I was looking yesterday and today on ticketmaster and they were only selling section 301 (which is not too good)

Ticketmaster don't get the best seats, particularly at this stage of the season. A poor seat is better than no seat. So unless you can get another seat through another source, take it. There are very few bad seats in Croke Park nowadays.

Got mine for Waterford v Cork and for the Saturday games: Donegal/Fermanagh v Cork and Kerry/Longford v Armagh.

You'll get better ones when they go on sale at the ticket office at Croke Park in the days beforehand, but you'd have to be off work and in Dublin, or know someone that is, and they are limited.

No, you don't have to take the day off work there's a phone number:01- 8658657 and they post them out.
