Can't finalise a DVD

I have a Daewoo DF-4100P Video/DVD Write Combo hooked to my TV via a scart cable. When I go to finalise a DVD the progress bar moves across the screen and when it gets almost to the end it ejects the DVD and returns to the main menu. I then check the DVD and it tells me it is not finalised. I then try to finalise it again…

Does anyone have this machine or has anyone come across this problem before

Sounds like a fault in the machine or it could be the disc.

Id try another disc or bring back the dvd recorder.
