Hey all, I have taught about getting my gf a present. She was saying that she would love a bear that is as long as a bed and as big as a wardrobe. Does anyone know where I could get one that size and how much. Possibly in Dublin. Once its big I don't mind. And roughly how much.

Those Hallmark stores normally have that sort of stuff, I think theres one in the Ilac centre (theres one in Navan shopping centre if you are where your location suggests).

I won one on holiday in Venice or Milan or somewhere, for being accurate for throws of many many balls. Suffice to say, I gave it to some Italian in a 'disco' and did not get a seat on the plane for it. :P

Yeah - to be honest, unless you want to pay literally hundreds of euros, it's better to try a cheap card-store and buy a promotional bear from them - a mega-bear from a bear shop could set you back €200.

OR - you could be REALLY smooth, buy her a teensy bear and a dozen roses (or a single rose, which will be cheaper) and make some fuss about this being her 'starter bear' and you'll get a bigger one for her each year - start small, work your way up...

If you are anywhere around town you could try The bear factory in the Jervis. Not sure how big they make them though :/

I like the way you think. I did a similar thing with my girlfriend when we first started going out. She thought it was really cute.

Bitch slap her for wanting such childish stupid crap, then buy her an ironing board. She'll soon come back to reality. ;)

Oh I bet you're real popular with the ladies. Where did you get that black eye from? :)

Not sure if this would suffice, size-wise but if you ask Karl Hungus nicely, I'm sure he'll pose as a teddy bear until the thrill wears off for your girlfriend.

    Lmfao!!

I'd say this bear is going to cost you a good bit. I think
she'd be a lot happier with a small bear ~€25 and a proper
present with the remainder of the money ~€250.

Best of lucky with it :)

That's not a black eye, I'm a giant panda and I take offence to women who want trophies of my brethren.

I'm with the opinion of Fuzzywiggle. The idea of a "Starter Bear" is quite romantic!
And I would wager that in time she would come to regret having such a huge bear taking up so much space any way!

Kernel, I'm a gal and I found that quite funny as well! Hopefully your lady has small feet so she can belly up close to the sink to wash the dishes!:D

Sounds like a fetish to me, Christ you could even get inside the bear!
    That would be awesome.

This is starting to sound more and more like a shrewd investment.

    I want one.

T-Bear and Co. on the ground floor of Stephen's Green SC would be able to get you one, probably a Steiff (www.steiff.de) one, but be prepared to do your credit card some serious damage. They (Steiff, that is) do a massive range of what they call studio animals .. giraffes, horses, bison, polar bears, lions, tigers ... you name it, with some, like the giraffes, reaching 2.50m high. Your talking about '000s of euros though.
