Just bought xbox live starter pack in Game Henry St. When I opened it the subscription code had already been scratched off!! I brought it back, and they weren't too surprised to be honest and said it must of been a "return". However, they then couldn't find any unscratched or suitable subscription cards for sale!!! Given…

and said it must of been a "return". However, they then couldn't find any unscratched or suitable subscription cards for sale!!!
Given that they are stored exclusively in the storage area of the shop, it seems clear some staff are taking these numbers, and the useless product is being sold on to unsuspecting customers.
Very annoying.

Yes, but they don't know the codes have been nicked until someone buys the product, and reports it. If they just return it to the store, the same people that rip it off in the first place will do nothing about it I presume.
