Changing access to ports

i installed a new poker client but when i go to go to certain pages on the site such as the bank and cashier i just get a blank screen. i talked to the 24hr help and they told me i had to disable my anti-virus software and allow my firewall have access to the ports 1990 throught to 2002 does anyone know how to do this?
