Miami Vice style communion/confirmation suits

The new Miami Vice film is nearly upon us but the series had a lasting impact on young Irish lives...

Tubbs and Crockett influenced a whole generation of communion and confirmation-makers in Ireland. The fleck trousers and the rolled up sleeves as you received the body of Christ for the first time.

    A stylish religious experience.

I'm working on an RTE comedy pilot at the moment and we're looking for any old pics of people in Miami Vice-style communion or confirmation suits.

Any takers? You can email them to rantbag@tyrone-productions.ie

I made my communion in 1986 - the peak of Vice-mania - and not one of the lads in my class had Tubbs/Crockett-style outfits. My brother made his in 1979 and there were a few Saturday Night Fever-style combinations there all right!
