Citroen SM Brakes

    Just thought I would share my next little job with you guys. The SM like the DS has great brakes, stops like you threw out an anchor. that is they are great until you have to change the pads. Now the pads are easy enought to swop out...its getting to them is the problem. This is a pic of the engine bay,

    The brake asssy is below the coils through the cables, just far enough so you can experience each of the coils up each nostril.

    Excellent design, how thoughtful of the designers to make it easy to work on the car :rolleyes:

    I like Citroen engine bays, all those mysterious green spheres!

    Those pix are a bit big and I still can't see the pads, I would have thought a shot of the brake discs would be more useful...?

    They discs are there too :) If you look at the coil, now go to the right about an inch , you will see a green rod going from right to left (part of the steering rack. Just below that there are two grey items with fins on them...there the brake pads and the disc is between them :)
