I never hear any talk of DoA 4 here... I played for a few hours this morning and had a right good laugh... Some pretty immature american kids on there but for the most part I had good lag free games :)

    Anybody here play....

Ps.. Hmmm, now that i think of it I don't remember seeing it in peoples gamebars...

Its a good game, but I gave up after a mystery bug wiped out all my characters, there was no way I was going back doing it all again....

bought it, played it, returned it. Most disapointing release for me personaly, since the launch. Or maybe just that years of Tekken have spoiled me for other beat 'em ups. who knows.

I find it alot more fluid than Tekken, 4 turned me off the Tekken series completely but 5 isn't bad.. Been playin DoA since 2 on the Dreamcast, of course bringing up that console... Soul Calibur ftw ;)

Got a lend of it from a freind and whilst the graphics are nice and bouncy after a couple of rounds of just hitting the buttons as quickly as possble I got a sore thumb and very bored once the dificulty level ramped up a bit.

DOA is a very good series.
The beauty of it is that unlike all other good fighting series you can enjoy the game whether you're a button basher, or skilled with it.
I've played it a lot and I'm pretty good at it, but when playing with friends who button bash, they still have fun.
It's well thought out so that no matter how good you are, it's still fun to play.
The counter system is the best on any beat-em-up and DOA 4 is one of the most fluid fighters out there.
They've come on a long way from DOA 1 and 2 which were gimmick games where you could decide how bouncy the women's breast were!

Karmafaerie, I have to disagree, while I'll give you it's well polished and yes button bashers can enjoy it! I have been a fan of beat em ups since Yie Ar Kung-Fu was released, (that's over 20 years ago, for anyone who cares;) ) and I honestly cannot remember another beat 'em up that had virtually no ramp in difficulty till the final level where the difficulty level went into orbit by comparison!

That's the main reason I got rid of the game, it was just so frustrating. I fought throught the entire game to the last level on my first attempt, without a single defeat along the way to spend roughly an hour getting pulverised and continuing till I finally beat that last baddy. And for what? an fmv and sore thumbs:confused:

Granted the online was entertaining when it wasn't lagged or worse, crucifing my online rating cause the lag was so bad it though I had quit the game!

In all seriousness, put any preconceptions you have aside and try the Rumble roses demo, I got a copy of it "preowned" at the weekend and there is a "street fight" mode that reminds me of Tekken 2 in the playing style plus it's got a sense of humour about itself. :)

JUst downloaded it from Live and find it extremely disappointing. Graphically it is nearly identical to DOA3. Played it for 2mins and then got bored!!

Your entitled to your opinions about gameplay of course but there's a big difference between the games graphically....
