I made some furniture MDF and put nice edges on it with router but they a are a bit "hairy" or fluffy

I want them to be smooth after painting. How do I do this.
Sand, paint, sand, paint etc until smooth??

    Thanks

your going to have to sand them well until they are smooth and ready to paint!
