I finally had an opportunity to take some pictures again :). I went to Leopardstown Racecourse last Wednesday, my first time to go to the horse races. The results are here

    :D

Like some of your shots, can you please tell me what lenses you used and what camera etc, do you shoot manual or automatic? I am just trying to learn from others as i am starting to try and get morte into photography myself. I was just thinking of doing similar at my local racecource at Kilbeggan,

Dimy, I left you a couple comments - nice to see you posting again, there was one or two in particular that I really liked - especially the bookie with the board beside him! Funnily enough I could tell they were yours from my flickr contacts list without even looking at the name ;)

You can actually see that in my signature :) I'm using a 350D with Sigma 70-300mm telephoto. I used the 50mm for a couple of the portraits and used the 18-55mm kit-lens for the wide angle shots. All cheapish lenses so far, but I'm only starting myself :)

Uh-oh my shots are getting a recognisable style... :D Must be the borders I'm using! :) Thanks for the comments.

    They came out great!

When you say ' finally had an opportunity to take some pictures again'
    How long has it been?

Not that long, but long enough for me :) Last time was at the docklands festival/duck race weekend a couple of weeks ago.
