I always said I would love to go to vegas! I'm not bad playing live poker but seem to get hammered online!

Anyways a few questions seen how alot of people seem to go there!

Do only pro's go over to play?

Have any of ye storys not about poker but the rest of vegas I mean is it good as in the sense drink the stuff that makes ur face numb :D girls stuff like that?

Would it be weird to go by yourself or would you meet up with young other irish guys over there?

How much are the game's to go into stuff like that!

How much would ya want to bring is it cheap over there?

    No,
Its a fun town but I would never come here if i didnt play poker,
It would be a little strange!
The cheapest regular live games are 1/2nl, or 48 limit. There are also tonnes of tournaments of different levels.
Its roughly the same price as in Ireland (maybe a little cheaper) for food and drinks. Hotels are cheap.

Most tables you sit at for relatively low stakes are comprised of ameteurs like yourself. Of course that doesn't stop them talking a good game as so many do.

The nightlife here is crazy. Like Hector I'm not sure I'd be in hurry to go here if I didn't like some kind of gambling but that said there is alot to keep people entertained. No shortage of the girlys either and boy do they dress up well.

I actually don't think it would be that weird to come here alone at all. I'm not that keen on holidays alone but if I just wanted to play some poker I would be happy to come here on my todd.

There are games to cover any budget. The lowest is 2-4 Limit or 1-2 No Limit and upwards.

As HJ says it's not that pricey for food etc. although drink can be expensive depending where you are. I just paid $14 for 2 pints in Nine Fine Irishmen tonight in New York New York. Plus the obligatory tip that $8 a pint. In general though I would budget for the level of poker you plan to play.

Agree with all of the above, except for one point.

Vegas is a great city with loads to do. It has hover dam, Grand Canyon, Death Valley and loads of other tourist attactions.

Also, each hotel is its own world, so there loads to do in each hotel like Treasure Island and Bellagio fountains etc and plus its one of the main cities in the states for rollorcoasters.

Also, the night life is one of the best in the states and most yanks go there for there weekends, loads of people from LA go to Vegas for the weekend to party.

Its also a very safe city, again safest in the states.

Its also one of the biggest shopping cities in the states, I love shopping there as it as loads of discount malls etc and all the top brands at very good prices.

So there's loads of other things to do in Vegas besides gambling, but yes, gambling is a big part of Vegas and its a brilliant city.

I usually go with people who are not into gambling and never play any games and they love to go back each year.

As for going on your own, loads of people do, as theres a nice athomsphere in the poker rooms etc and its easy to make friends.
