Gig shots for C&C

Was asked to shoot this band at the Dunbrody Festival yesterday.

Post Processing consisted of Desaturate, dodge areas of detail, burn, a small bit of smart sharpen.

Edit: Just wondering, do you find them too dark? I'm working on a laptop so I get the impression the could be a fair bit brighter!

Great shots there I really liked the look you got with them - the 3rd one looks the weakest - I would probably crop out the stuff on the left hand side.

I tried cropping it off, I know it's distracting, but I like how you can see where the light is coming from, onto the bassist... Hmmm...I'll see what happens with a crop!

Still gotta crop off the bass shot, damn laziness, but while I'm here...Here's one of my fave's from the gig...

Oh, shoulda said at the top, brief before the gig was basically the band wanted shots to use on their cd, as opposed to actual proper gig shot. Have to wait til tomorrow to get feedback from them.

The last one you just posted is the clear winner for me. I love how the guitarist's face is steady and sharp while the rest of the shot has a bit of motion blur, just perfectly captures his focus amidst the moving music.

Excellent shots Fajitas.For me,the overall darkness and the B&W adds a lovely menacing atmosphere.Well done.

Really enjoyed these. Not a bit too dark, especially if for a cover (assuming the T-shirt is an indication of the type of music?)

Slightly different from your usual look...? I love them, they are really rich and polished. That last one - they can't fail to be blown away by.

And you know I won't be complaining about them being too dark, hehe

They're very different from my normal gig shots, but I'm happy with them, think I found an alternate style!

really lovely detail in all of them, so crisp, the first one is my fav...really should get the thumb out and look at my pics from the last few gigs...damn world of warcraft is taking all my free time
