In case you haven't heard they are coming out with a new Command and Conquer. Its part of the Tiberian universe just after the end of Firestorm where the delicate alliance between GDI and Nod has finally shattered.

I'm looking forward to it as well, even though I fear EA will have slowly destroyed the westwood team, Generals was top notch though I thought, great fun.

When EA bought out Westwood half the team left prett much instantly, including the brains behind all the previous C&C titles, nothing slow about it

ha, I'm just surprised we haven't already seen C&C 2001, C&C 2002, C&C 2003 etc. Not to mention The Sims: C&C edition, actually, what am I thinking, The Sims: GDI edition AND The Sims: Nod edition. Oh, and C&C PGA Tour Golf from EA Sports.

*sigh* I really don't like EA games, maximising profit by minimising expenses by reusing same engine for a dozen movie spinoffs and sports titles, not making a manual, buying up good companys with good portfolios and mass producing them...

The perfect example being the C&C:generals engine, its how many years old now? and their still making games with it, that engine wasnt that hot when it came out (terrable physics, poorly optomised, and very uncustomisable), and games using it have been released as recently as a few months ago (BFME2), just downright lazy tbh.

Where are nods stealth tank
why did GDI abandon the mmk2 and start producing a older design (Mutant/Soviot Mamoth tank)
Why did NOD lose the Banshee?
I even heard there was no VHMs in the game

You haven't by any chance checked out the official EA forums on this? The place was packed with threads like these - Legs vs treads, Why do GDIs troops look like the marines from starcraft? etc, etc...

also this game portrays NOD as the bad guys why? its just all this global terrasim **** because the US is at war with terrorism they have to make it look like NOD is terrorits and "bad guys@ its stupid this game is based on choosing your loyalty to the aging Global defence inative or the future with Kane and the brotherhood nod some stupid ****ing EA Games/US propaganda

Nod have always been the terrorists you muppet! Look at the intro video to C&C, (named since: Tiberium Dawn) it makes references to Nod's ties to global terrorism and they're always referred to as Terrorists through out the series. It was game of good guys (GDI) V bad guys (Nod), and you got to choose who to play as (both obviously). FFS the end of the Nod campaign allows you to destroy a national monument of your choice! It predates sept 11th and the "War on Terror" tm

Also, while I dislike the concept of those spell checker fascists, a bit of proof reading wouldn't go amiss.

Doesnt seem to show off anything new...but its pretty.


But long time CnC fans really want this game more for the story...and it looks like its not being fecked up too badly (ok it hasnt shown much, but they havnt fecked away all that tiberium sun established.)

You talk of the intro to TD your watching TV and yes it makes references to Nods terrorism ok but have u watched Fox News recently or any american news channel? i think sky news show 1 hour of it at 12pm or 1am

The end of the NOD campaign u blow up a momunmant yes yes u do how does this make u bad GDI blew up nods momument the Temple of NOD.
Nod blew that up to sway the public away from GDI twards the brotherhood

I think that at the end of TS (NOD ending) tiberium perhaps forced a evulation thats what ithink because what elce could have happened to Kane Was he "beamed away" i doubt it because if the Scrin do exist and have transporter tech and kane reley is working for them and tiberium reley IS there way of taking over the earth it makes no sence.
if they can beam Kane up then just beam armed forces into the bedroom of every leader and military commander on earth kill them all with NO losses
so i doubt that kane was beamed up thats why i have always assumed that he evolved its a bit of a leap yes bit it makes more sence than him being beamed away.

If it was a evulation that occured due to tiberium weapon then that would mean NOD=Good forced evulation for mankind everyone would be the exact same energy and i dont hink the "world leaders" that fund GDI would be happy being the same as those in africa and the poorer regions that do support the brotherhood

oh and about the spell check thing in work they block most sites and that inlcludes spell checking sites

The thing is only those who orginally created cnc know

So destroying Kane's base is comparable to destroying the Eiffel tower, and doesn't make Nod terrorists?

I'll take this too seriously for a minute, and try and forget this is a game: They use chemical/nuclear weapons, carry out experiments with Tiberium that might be called unethical, and their goal is to mutate humanity without really asking humanity how they feel about it? They're cool and all, but they're definitely bad guys. I think you may viewing Nod, who are essentially comic book villains, with some sort of psuedo-religious zeal.

I know Kane was charismatic, but the idea of gamers becoming his disciples is a little creepy.

ive been moaning about EA making this game that it will be **** and all because no joe kucan (well there is joe now) but i am now much more hopefull but i still doubt EA games motvies on this 1....
