Pressure Treated Timber ???

I ordered some pressure treated timber the other day for the first time. I noticed when I cut the timber the preservative did not penetrate in to it. It's as if it was just dipped in some yellow chemical. Surely I should see the preservative in the cross section.

I notice the same. Its usually dipped but when u cut it u shud notce thyat it will penetrate slightly???
