laptop screen mod question

    i have a old dell inspiron 7500 gathering dust on my shelf.. cant do anything with cause the hd has failed on me and a cant be arsed buying a new one for old tech.
    my question comes into play here.. the laptop has a working and high quality screen on it and i was wondering is there any way to break it off the laptop and some way wire the screen so i can use it as a second screen on my destop

    tnx for the link subway.. at the mo the laptop is broke.. so i'll give it one more chance fixing it and if it dosent work i give this a go..... ether way im not too concerned about it.. i got 2 other working laptops.... though saying that if anyone has done this succesfuly and inexpensive would like to here from them :)
