    34 $5,000.00 H.O.R.S.E
    35 $5,000.00 Limit Hold'em
    36 $10,000.00 No Limit Hold'em Main Event
The schedule consists of the following:

    10 NLH
    6 LH
    4 PLH
    3 Stud
    3 Stud 8
    4 Omaha 8
    3 PLO
    3 HORSE
    1 Razz
    2 Draw
    2 special
    2 heads up

There may be one event that you are curious about, the heads up events. Here is what I propose:

A $25,000 buy in no limit hold'em heads up tournament for bracelet winners ONLY. It would likely be a three day event, playing two matches the first day, two matches the second day, and two matches on the final day (based on a 64 player field). If it were a 128 player field, 3 matches would be played on day two.

On that same very day, we'd hold another heads up no limit hold'em tournament with a $5000 buy in. In this event, ONLY those who have NOT won a WSOP bracelet may enter!

Obviously because of the buy in the structure for the $25,000 event should have more play, so here is what I propose:

$5000 Heads Up: 60 minute levels 5000 in chips
    50-100
    100-200
    150-300
    200-400
    300-600

Getting to level five would be a marathon match. If you were to play for four hours and still have no winner, obviously the blinds would now be a major factor but the thing has to end sometime!

$25,000 Heads Up: 25,000 in chips 60 minute levels
    100-200
    150-300
    200-400
    300-600
    400-800
    500-1000
    600-1200
    800-1600
    1000-2000

If a match were to be a marathon, reaching level 9, the blinds would surely come into play and end it then since the average stack would have just 12.5 big bets by then. Level 9 would only come into play in the most extreme cases IMO.

From what i can tell the pro's are really pushing HORSE for next year and the success/popularity of this years HORSE event seems to have shown very clearly the difference between a poker pro and a hold'em pro. Is it possible that poker software will start to incorporate HORSE games and might any card rooms in Dublin consider running a HORSE game? (Perhaps the mysterious BSOP money or future tournament for the BSOP money could be HORSE?)

Alot of poker articles advocate taking up more than just NLHE and HORSE obvioulsy covers five games and I do like to gamble! I think Doc Farrell or someone in an earlier post was trying get a mixed game going in the Fitz but nothing came of it. Any thoughts or interest in such a game.

Also, i like Negreanu's idea of heads-up tournaments for bracelet winners only, could be a nice idea and would make for great TV (as i am not YET a bracelet winner and probably wont be by 2027).

    * Mods, couldnt decide if this is for general discussion or tournament section. Apologies if I got it wrong!

Pokerstars are introducing HORSE into the software very soon.

HORSE is a great game but unfortunately it seems to have died off a bit on Full tilt.

If you compare that lists to the current lists of events, it's aim strongly at the pro players rather than the average player, so it favour's the pro's a lot more.

The horse event will always be a pro event, as the buy-in restricts average bankroll players, but the game is not about the pro's. Its about the average player getting the chance to win a bracelet and the best players in the world beating big fields.

If I was a pro, I would be delight with the amount of players going to the WSOP, so much dead money, the problem is the structure of these events dont allow the pro's to come out on top and thats the problem. Also the events seem to be run very badly, but I think the boom in poker and the amount of players around with big enough bankrolls to play these games supprised the WSOP org themselfs.

The heads-up event would be nice, but you cant restrict a bracelet event to only bracelet winners, thats not fair for the other players.

I would love to see the players getting together and creating a new WSOP with better structure events.

I personally would love to start playing some 7 card stud and omaha events in the Fitz, so maybe we should try something after the summer.

I would definately love to play a H.O.R.S.E or Stud tournament in the fitz! as for the new schedule i think it is obviously one the pros will favour more than the average player but the amount of Hold'em tournies this year is a bit much and the smaller smaller H.O.R.S.E events and the Heads-Up event(i disagree that only bracelet winners should be allowed enter) are good ideas IMO. One thing i noticed is only two short-handed events i think they should have more like 2 $2500s and 2 $5000s because these are realy good events and they seem to be a favorite of all the pros.

Bugsy Club have been doing HORSE events online for the last year or so. They also do Razz seperate.

anytime me or any of the other dealers in the fitz have tried to get mixxed game/7 stud game/ anything that isn't hold em or omaha going in the fitz it never takes off. too many people claim that they're interested yet either don't show for em or change their minds...

but anyway...I'm running the 30FO in a couple of hours so I'll ask and see if people are interested in a HORSE tourney at some stage...

as i have never played in it i dont know what you mean, isnt the blind structure in this one of the best around for a major event or am i mistaken? how could they be better run?any examples of poor organisation/running?

how could they be better structured?

the main event is fine, but the other events have only 30 min blinds and if the buyin is 2k, you get 2k in chips.

I've heard nothing positive about the Rio or WSOP, lack of proper toilets etc, dinner for everyone at the same time, so most people dont get to eat, that kind of stuff. Also the standard of dealers is not meant to be that great.

my main annoyance with the schedule for the WSOP would be the same as Negreanu's, too much F**ing Holdem, and too many limit events for that matter as well

But seen that 90% of the players only play holdem, this would be the correct way to have it.

Name anyother events that have anything but Holdem? None, maybe a odd event on the Friday, but in general they dont get the numbers required.
