I'm just after getting into cycling alot after a bit of a break, I have about up to €900 to spend at the moment but could push it a bit more. Just looking for any advice as to where to buy a kinda street/racing/road style bike, and what are the best types, what to look for etc. thanks

That budget will get you a decent bike.
Go to a bike shop for advice. Tell them what you'll use it for etc. Don't forget to include helmet, lock, hi-viz gear, gloves, padded shorts and other clothing in the budget.
Cycle SuperStore are beside The Square, Tallaght.
Cycleways are on Parnell St, behind the ILAC Centre.
Also search this forum for threads with similar questions.

Also, check out the bike mags in shops. These guys are the experts. I know for the mountain bike mags that I have (which i dont think you want!), they have a great section at the back which rates the different bike from 300 euro up. Perhaps the road / racing bike mags have the same. A quick pop into Easons may focus the search.
