    Hey Guys,
My parents just bought an apartment in Croatia. MY dad was out there last week and theres a communal satellite dish on the roof. So he went down to the local hardware store and bought a FTA digital box. He set it all up and says he's picking up Astra 19.2 and Hotbird 13. He said there was a huge ammount of channels and was able to sieve through and the only one he could recognise was RTE radio one all the rest were italien and German. Is there any way to pick up some more channels closer to home? Is all the BBC FTA on 28.2? Is this very far off 19.2 and would a bigger dish be needed?

    The arrangement won't get BBC/ITV at 28.2e.
You should get BBC World TV and some other English (some part time).

What do you mean? Do you need a specific FTA box to get the BBC channels? Whats the difference between what i have and lets say the box from lidl or any of those other ones you see advertised? My plan in the future is to bring out my spare sky digibox and mirror subscription but I'll definitly need to get a bigger dish i'd say.

I would imagine it would take a HUGE dish to get Astra 2D (RTE/ITV + most BBC stuff) in Croatia

the other Astra 2 satellites would be easier but most English channels on these are either encrypted or are home shopping/gaming/religious junk

Around 3M dish for 24/7 reception for horizontal TPs on Astra 2D - smaller for verticals. RTÉ and most of BBCs are on horiztonal.
