I'm just wondering if anyone can help with this. Basically, I am looking for a free (or fairly cheap) program which will allow me to record a live video stream coming in on the Windows media Player. Any help appreciated, as always.

Is it streaming on a web page (like embedded into a web page) or does it just open Windows Media Player in its own window, if you know what I mean

SDP Downloader I've found works on practically every Microsoft media based stream.

    Free & no spyware either.

In WMP bring up the properties of the stream while it's playing then copy and paste into SDP and away you go.

It opens media player on it's own.

Brilliant program, just tried it out a few hours ago. Works great for me anyway, OP, best of luck.

not really, in a web page the media player would be embedded, you can easily find the link if you look at the page source. on another note, i cant get that program working, must be college firewall. ill just have to stream the vivid.com videos from the library
