THANK YOU!!!! I was tryin to remember the name of that show for AGES!! I was all like remember that show on the beach with the freaky animation and kids, and no-one knew what i was talking about!

    TMNT: I am there.

I think it looks really well. Hopefully they'll have a nice moody (well as dark and moody as kids animation will allow) story to go with their nice moody animation.

    brilliant!

I thought the trailer was going to do a CGI version of the opening credits of the classic cartoon when it started on the moon, I was dissapointed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 443 ✭✭DBK

It is very similar to the opening credits of the american version of the cartoon, that was called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and not the toned down version of Hero Turtles we received over here - minus the nunchaku :(

Looks damn good. I was a huge turtles fan as a kid and cant wait for this. I have known about the movie for a while and the word it is its going to be like the comic books, i.e. its going to be much darker than the cartoons.

Mako was the original choice of voice for Splinter died over the weekend. He's probably best known currently in animation circles as the voice of Aku in Samurai Jack. Don't know how this will affect the film. Don't know if he had actually started recording his dialogue

Ah that's ****! He was fantastic in Conan.
Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And onto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!

Ah... I never made that connection between Conan and Aku before... it's so obvious now...

    Brilliant voice...

No, don't have quicktime on this computer so can't run apple trailers. will have a look for it on youtube. cheers anyway

I was hoping they would show us what the actual humans would look like. If they have a human that looks too cartoony in CGI it will ruin a movie for me. Will go and see it anyway, being a big fan of the original TMNT (even the movies wheren't THAT bad)

Any word on the story? Are they doing it like Batman begins, being darker and from the very beginning. Or are we jumping in where the last movie left off

Glad they have the name right

Stupid yanks changed it to HERO turtles cos Nijas are evil, and if it was called TMNT, kids wud be evil psychos and kill eachother

    now their all heroic heroes!

    óO

You have it the wrong way around. It was changed to Hero Turtles in the UK and Ireland because Ninjas were deemed to be too violent.

The cartoon was actually made in Dublin though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,836 ✭✭✭Vokes

Nahh, it was the other way around. Europeans changed it to 'Hero' - it was always 'Ninja' in the US.

    EDIT:

    The original series? Really?

Yep. Murakami Wolf Swenson made it... They also did James Bond Jr.

    Well, who's seen it?

    I saw it on Thursday

    Frickin amazin!

One fight scene was very intense for a kids movie! Although they really made it for us big kids

    7/10 from me
