Hickeys?? How old are you? 12? Don't know how anybody over the age of 12 could let someone give them a Hickey, or even give one for that matter, especially if it's visible.

Unfortunately (or fortunately in your case......you might learn a lesson) you can't get rid of them. You'll have to let nature runs it's course.
You could try make up on it I suppose.

I hear you can suck them out like snake venom. ie lock your lips over the offending area and suck for all you are worth.

Ha, that'd be a great way to make the hickey that much more obvious...if you've got to get one, you might as well make sure that everyone with in a 10 foot radius can see it! :)

Nope, there's absolutely no way to get rid of the things b/c it's a bruise. You've just got to hope that your body heals fast (and that you don't let the same thing happen again).

If you can carry it off (and are female), wear one of those collars that you see girls wearing every so often. You would be a Goth for a day, though.

    Arnica Cream...

its a cream to reduce bruising. will not be completely gone by tomorrow, but will be less noticable.

Toothpaste will speed up the healing process.

Wear your hair down and wear a shirt with a high enough collar.

toothpaste is a waste of time, as is vinegar, soda cream and ice!! as said above its a bruise and will heal only with time! just learn from it!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,894 ✭✭✭Chinafoot

toothpaste is a waste of time,

Not really. It takes away a lot of the redness and makes it go yellow quicker...which is then easier to hide with make-up.

For the dinner tomorrow- try foundation/concealer, as close to your natural colour as you can find. Also- try not to wear anything white- that remnants of the foundation will be obvious on. Thereafter- toothpaste as described above.

Wear something so revealing they won't be looking at the hickey?

    Or go paintballing. http://images.google.ie/images?q=paintball+bruise&hl=en&btnG=Search+Images

yeah, got naked, or wear a dog on your head, something to draw attention away from the neck area.

    Lash on toothpaste!
Or if at all possible keep an icepack or something equally cold on it for as long as possible, this causes the blood to move back from the surface [I'm sure someone could give a better explaination] Either of these methods will cause it to turn yellow quicker which will make it much easier to cover up with make-up.

As for covering it neck scarves are very fashionable at the moment [available in Topshop, Penneys River Island and others] so why not use this opportunity to show off the fashionista in you:p

BTW I feel your pain, I'm forever getting hickeys despite the fact I think they look horrible.
Good luck with the mother, hopefully she wont notice [coz if shes anything like mine... ]

/Oh and another thing you could so if it has turned yellow is put on fake tan really badly.... no-one will ever suspect:p

make up, sone natural shade eye-shadows are great.

I had "THE DEMON HICKEY" a year back, lasted three weeks....high neck clothes to start with then put your make up skills to the test...and wear your hair down.

Really good idea actually. You could also, if you have long hair, wear it in the low down, side pony-tail. That can look quite cute on some girls.

You'd probably get some good answers in fashion/appearance

as others have said, arnica cream is meant to b quite gud (u can get it from pharmacies and health food stores), but might not make it dissappear totally in time. if ur lookin for an excuse for the family (if worse comes to worse), i once told my mother that a mark on my neck was the aftermath of a burn from my GHD hair straighteners, and she believed me! or else apply really dark fake tan. you mite look ridicously orange, but at least it mite cover the mark if your that worried! gud luck!

a silk scarf on your neck...just claim its a new fashion craze!!!

I was working in a nursing home once and my collegue who is also a nurse had a big hickey when the old woman we were looking after asked what it was I told her she walked into a door. The old woman said it looked quite painful :D (sorry off topic i know)

Arnica gel works really good that and an ice-pack

It prob wont be all cleared up in the day though i wouldn't try make up just on the spot because it might just make it stand out more.

Fake tan is really good for hiding blemishes if you wanna go to the bother of applying it all over or you could get a nice fashion scarf, I seen some really nice ones in River Island yesterday.

    Good Luck !

Put one of those Nelly style band-aids on your neck. Not only will you be hiding the offending mark but you may also look really kewl:cool:
