Im heading to London in mid August for 3 nights / 4 days and Im just wondering if anyone can recommend some good restaurants / bars to go to?? We are going to the theatre one night so just the other 2 really!!We are staying in a hotel near Oxford St so it would be great if there was anywhere to go in the evening within reasonable distance....Im not familiar with London and would be quite nervous at night time....

Any ideas or advice for day or nighttime would be great...

BTW not really planning on clubbing or anything, a nice bar and a couple of nice restaurants would be fine!!!

    Cheers guys,

    Shinners

We were in London last month & had a gorgeous meal at a restaurant called Chez Gerard - www.santeonline.co.uk for details of all the restaurants in the group

what kind of food are you looking for ? and more importantly..what price range? same with bars.. quite, busy, trendy, pubs, cocktails ?

There are so many bars and restaurants you're spoiled for choice, you name it, it's within 10 minutes of Oxford St.

No need to be nervous either, if you are in the city centre you're pretty safe.
