Nice Hotel in KL

Im am going on honeymoon if a couple of months (7 weeks in south east aisa)

We have booked our flght in and out of KL, organised our Visa's for vietnam and thats it.

Normally that would be all I would do just land in KL find a hotel (normally someplace cheap) and spend a day walking around see if I like the place, if so get some recomendations and check in. If I dont like it I get on a train and head north.

This time I will have my new wife with me and she is not exactly used to my idea of a holiday, plus it will be the first night of our honeymoon and I know I like KL (or I did 7 years ago when I was there).

I am looking for a nice central hotel (close to restaurants, night life and shopping) to ease her into life in south east Asia (we move on to Thailand and Vietnam with a few days in Cambodia). The rest of the time will be my usuall if a place looks intesting get off the train, spend a while walking around and either stay or move on. If I hear of someplace special will head in that direction. Will probably be staying in some kips but I want the first night or two to be special. 4 star at least and while I aint loaded I dont mind splurging for a night or 2.

    Any recomendations.
