If you dont get something by September you should really consider goin back to school. its only two more years and having a leaving cert really gives you so many more options.

I'd agree with the ^^^, unless you really hate school (which isn't a good reason to choose any further career path on that alone).

Don't you have to have done your leaving cert now to do an apprenticeship?

I thought it was 16+ and 5 D's in the JC.

    Well it seems your right.

My aunt must have just said that to keep her son in school :D

But really you should stay and do your leaving certificate, I know its hard but you will really regret it when you get older if you don't. Also you are seriously limiting your options for the future if the apprenticeship doesn't work out, as everywhere requires a leaving cert as the minimum standard of education

Well here's my advice Simon. You are definately not mature enough to go out into the working world, for example you can't even seem to find out any info for yourself, instead you have to go to Boards to find answers to very simple questions. Come on Simon, do the smart thing and go back to work.

Unless you really, really, REALLY hate school, go back!! Its only 2 more years, thats nothing compared to the rest of your life. I had fun in my last 2 years, especially my last one.
You'll be doing yourself a favour by having a leaving cert under your belt.

i bet you one hundred billion euro that you'll reach 17, see all your friends with leaving certs and regret dropping out. everyone who drops out regrets it to some degree
