    cant decide need help,

would go for a ds lite except for no chance of a decent footy game whereas psp has pro evo

any chance of a decent pro evo on the ds lite?

is the ds screen much smaller than the psp?

Look at the games for each, look at their reviews. Look at screenshots. Then decide which you'd prefer playing and get that. Google is your friend. Peoples opinions here are just going to be biased.

Peoples view in the nintendo forum are gonna be biased but this question has been asked befor and I think the ds was chosen.

Personally I have a ds and I could not be happier with it.

The PSP version of Pro Evo is muck, so if you're basing your decision on that, go for the DS (which incidently is getting Pro Evo).

I'll try not to be biased. I own a PSP and DS lite and to be honest I've spent more time playing games on my DS since I bought it 2 weeks ago than I did with my PSP in the 4 months before.

DS has better games but PSP is still cool for watchin movies on the move and checkin emails etc.

Just think about what you want from your system. And be careful about asking for peoples opinions on internet boards. This one isnt bad but a lot of them contain 'fanboys' who just have silly loyalty to a brand and wont offer any proper info.

With Opera DS you'll at least be able to do half of that on DS soon and, with the arrangement with the Cloud and BT Openzone, for free where PSP or laptop users will have to pay.

And you can always buy an SD(I think) super card to watch videos and stuff.

4 gig DS hard drive available. Not sure if ya can watch movies on yer DS tho.

    linkage: http://www.gametrailers.com/viewnews.php?id=3178

tho I believe I saw it for $99 online somewhere...it's the size of same the rumble pack or a GBA game.

Might be just picking up one of those before I leave this summer.. :)

    [edit] alternative using memory card

    DS > PSP

Im not sold on that HD tbh, you still need app software to run on it.

Why cant a manufacturer make a DS cart that can read from a flash cart in slot two and have built in MP3, XVID, JPG support? Is it that hard?

I started a topic on that a while ago here which I can't find but there was a link posted by someone else to a review which more or less said the HD was a waste fo time as the bundled software was a POS and that in theory the idea was great but Max Media just needed better software for it.

Well in the school yard battle for our childrens souls it looks like Nintendo are catching up with Sony as friends kids are getting Ds' left right and centre although I think the parents just want an excuse to play brain training.
The PSP is a lovely machine, initially I got very bored of it and actually sold my US machine on the week its Euro brother/sister was released.
But now I have a bit of a tingle and am starting to feel the need to buy one again as the software catalog is starting to stretch past mere PS2 reheats.
So should you buy a PSP or DS?
Best thing to say is try both for a week and then see how you feel, If you can't do that just buy a DS lite with copies of New Super Mario Bros, Bust a Move DS and Metroid and don't give the PSP another thought, at least until a 2nd hand one is within your financial grasp and by then the software back catalog will be even better.

I pick a DS Lite anyday.
PSP is more like a normal PS2.
But DS Lite is quite diffrent to the gameboys.
