    Does anyone relate to this?

For the past two weeks I have been playing very well and cashing in tourneys online regularly. Then last night I am all over the shop...playing crap hands from mp and making ridiculous calls. I rebought twice into the 200$ 10k on tribeca and build a big stack with 12 left (6 cash) and blow it all madcalling a reraise with KQ on a missed flop (dont ask me why but I thought I was ahead - for the record he had missed too with AK). This is not my normal style and I still cant explain it...i couldnt help myself.

I know its not tilt as I had no reason to be on tilt but its some other form of related affliction. Any one familiar with this syndrome.

That might be the cause of your problem. You have almost certainly been playing well but probably getting a bit of good variance a long the way. This suddenly leads to a subconscious belief in your invincibility and you stop doing things properly for a while.
Happens to me a lot and I find myself having to ABC my game for a while.

I completely agree with this at times when your running hot you start to believe that your unbeatable. All your moves are coming off your hitting flops every time and making great calls. It generally a mixture of good poker on your part but also getting a good run of the cards.

Then you start believe that you can outplay anyone with any two card. Its what separates the very very good players from the rest of us they can keep up that A game almost all the time. You have to keep playing the poker that was a winning formulae for you even if the cards are with you or against you.

I thought that was called tilt?

Just because you're not angrily chasing horrendous one outer losses doesn't mean it's not tilt surely?

Anyway, I agree with the others. It's time to go ABC for a while. Or AWOL...

it is tilt. you can sugarcoat it and call it what you want but if you're making bad plays and you know they're bad and you still do it anyway, it's tilt.

In my opinion yes but we're just talking about word definitions now.

You're playing badly. You need to get your head straight again. Start by going back to tight steady play or by taking a break for a week.

i often did this after a hot streak, a solid loss noramlly ensues and i regain my composure. i have since tried to minimize any greater expectations after a win and try to play it tourney by tourney, hand-by-hand. just need to let your feet settle a bit.
