    (note: trying to waste time.)

IF you'd seen Pirates of the Caribean 2 then you have most likely seen the new redesign of disney's logo.

I dont know if this is just for thier live action films, or if they are going to use it from now on. But it is the most overdone film logo I have seen in a long time.

I remember the numerous other disney logos which range from mickey mouse, to the castle silohette, or the 'cartoon' like CGI of the pixar films.

But this new one (cant find it on youtube at the moment) is this really overdone logo, doesnt have the style of some of the earlier ones (the simple castle one) nor the friendlyness of the others (the mickey mouse, pixar one)

    dont like it all...

I was thoroughly confused seeing the new logo... the old silhouette was vastly superior to this monstrosity.

all I've seen on their site etc. so far is the disney signature; this kinda one.. either that or "Walt Disney Movies" or something in plain TNR-type text...

I saw that logo also. It does indeed look like a computer threw up on the screen. It's a monster of a thing.

They sacked over 600 people there the other day. I believe Touchstone Pictures in particular was severly cut back on.

Miramax and Pixar are the only sections that haven't been cut back on.

But it looks like they'll be releasing more feature films under the Walt Disney Pictures brand now....

Just as long at they cut back making terrible inhouse CGI films I'll be happy... leave that stuff up to Pixar... although that CGI Rapunzel film they're working on looks interesting...
