Live 25 euro MTT, 28 runners, 4 get paid

At this stage there are 6 left. Avg. stack: 32,000 Table has been tight aggressive for the past few rounds.

I'm in CO with 19,000, 5th in chips. Blinds 1,500/3,000. I get 78s. UTG and UTG +1 fold. SB is big chip leader with aboout 60,000. BB has around 15,000. Is this a good place to go all in?

I'm UTG with 13,000, 6th in chips. Blinds 2,000/4,000. I get K9o. UTG folds. SB has about 25,000, BB has around 35,000. Should I go all in here?

I'm pretty sure the 2nd situation is an all in, but I don't know about the 1st.

The first is an all in for the simple reason that you get to open raise. Unless SB has a more than decent hand AT+, 66+ he will probably not call you, but BB may feel he has to call unless he hopes to limp into the money.

Whats sb like in hand 1?

Hand 2 is easy, your hand is good enough so that you could profitably turn it face up and push anyway. Hand 1 the looser the sb is playing the less I like it

SB is aggressive when there has been one or no limpers before the action gets to him. When theres more than that he likes to limp about half the time to see the flop. Is there any way in the first one that i can just make raise by 3 to 4 K and then throw it away if the flop does nothing for me, or is my only move all in?

If you want to play the first hand, your only move is all in. No point in putting a small raise in unless you are willing to call an all in. Only reason i might do this is to make a stop and go play if you think the BB will call any all in.

Hand 2 is a definite push with the blinds and your chip stack.

Stop and go only works when you are acting first after the flop, not from the CO against the SB.

That is true enough. Was half asleep this morning and did not read the post properly.

First hand I think I throw away - I far prefer to be attacking a big stacks blinds in this situation, I think small stack needs to find a call here or he is down to 12k, big stack on bb here can throw away hands that small stack just cant. Also it is pretty likely/possible that if you fold one of the people left to act may try to rob bb's blind - which may end up in bb going out - down to 5 and good for you.

    Second hand is an insta-push.
