Win XP unattended Upgrade

I'm trying to run an unattended upgrade (not new install) of some Win 2k machines. I can create the unattend.bat file etc, but cannot get the setup to run just as an upgrade.

Has anyone else done this that can offer some assistance.

can it be done with the deployment tools from ms?

Thanks for the suggestion , but that is a deployment tool for deploying WinXP SP2, not the actual operating system.

did you downlaod it?
its the ms tool for creating unattended installs of windows xp.

i use it all the time for creating full installs, im not sure if it will create an upgrade though.

I thought it was just for SP2, but it seems to have updated versions of Setupmgr etc..

What about nLite, that can be used for unattended setups, can also slipstream service packs and drivers into the install???

Ok lads / ladies ,

I'm going to rephrase this. When installing XP whilst actually logged into Win2k you are prompted to select "Full Installation" or "Upgrade" when the installation program start's. But when I use an unattended install of any kind it just bypasses this screen and automatically goes to full installation.

I want to be able to select the "upgrade" option, is this possible ?
