S-Video - What is it?

    I have an s-video port on the back of my PC and also on my monitor. What exactly will happen if I bought a s-video cable and hooked up PC -> Monitor?

    An S-video output connector is used to connect devices such as TVs and VCRs to the card, I believe.

    its seperate video... it carries brightness and colour seperate
