I heard somthing about the possibility of cuts on 95fm yesterday.

Didnt think they could do it without notice.

Hi I am Ennis Road area and plenty of water here. I phoned the city council emergency number on 417833 and they say it is purely a lack of pressure in some areas and they hope things will improve before morning.
Not very reassuring, we only had a few warm days!

No problem with the water out here in the Castletroy area either.

Yes it's ironic. We get rain in this country for 10 or 11 months of the year yet 1 week of hot dry weather (by our standards anyway) and there is a water cut. The fresh water infrastructure in Ireland is very poor.

Any signs of a burst pipe out in Raheen or close by? They have the road dug up out by St Paul's church in Dooradoyle so it would not surprise me if they hit a water pipe.

From what I heard from talking to all the people gathering in the Local
shops buying the Bottled water that nearly all of Raheen, Dooradoyle and
even Mungret experienced water cuts or drop in pressure.
My Fathers place had no water at all, And some old women in the local
shops were severely annoyed and vocal.

I only experienced a severe drop in pressure. The water still flowed but
My electric shower did not work. That was Wed night.

It Happened from about 18:30 with no sign of the pressure returning at 2am
when I woke up at 6am Shower worked ok again but the pressure did not
    improve a whole lot.

Last night pressure was still weak but everything worked ok.
    Did not check this morning.

I also heard people talk of stuff being discussed on 95fm about
turning the water off at night but heard nothing official.
The Limerick Leader County weekend edition had a story saying
they were experiencing problems keeping up with the water demand where
people were using the water more when they got home from work maybe

Water is off in Ballyneety today.
I'd expect a flyer in my letter to notify of water cuts a few days in advance given that not everyone listens to 95fm

It would appear that limerick Co Co are running out of water, there was stuff in the news today about it. people watering their gardens with hoses and stuff.

There was also a leaflet in the leader on how to conserve water.
