    Hey

went inter-railing after my leaving cert with 2 mates, we were originally going to just go to prauge for a week but one of the guys parents desided to bring us to Kracow and Berlin,

now dont get me wrong, they are lovely people, but after your leaving cert, you dont want to go away Still with people parents.

    Now heres my idea

Next summer, i want to travel around europe on my own. Just me.

i'd like to do eastern europe again, maybe poland, estonia, latvia, lituania and russia perhaps. has anyone gone travelling on there own in europe? I'll be 21-22 next year when i do this.

if i was to go for 2 weeks, how much money would i need? i presume i dont need visa's as they are all EU countries? would fly into one city and Fly out of another be a good idea? are rail fares cheepish when travelling alone? is it safe enough? what are the Hotspots to see? would it be hard to get into russia? would i bring dollars or euros?

    sorry for so many questions.

    Joe

It's really hard to get into Russia from what I hear. Anyway I would put to many countrys on your list for a two week holiday you don't want to spend your whole time traveling and only get to see bits and pieces of each city before you have to leave. Rail is cheep but I don't think they have Ryanair type flights out there there some poles in my town that say the airlines are not very reliable.

I'd say pick two countrys. You could spend 1 week in cezh, a few days in Prague then a few days in Cesky Krumlov. There the only places I know about I never made it to any of the other countrys. I went to Prague with no plans and ebded up staying there for two weeks.

yeah man, sorry to disappoint :( I'm not giving up on the idea, though, I just couldn't manage to get the funds together, and it was complicated by a family thing bein on during the time I was plannin to go, so i woulda had to spend MORE money to go to that... bleh bleh bleh...

I'll get around to it, don't worry ;)
