    Maybe there is a thread about this already - But can anyone recommend a short break destination for approximately five days - somewhere in Europe

    What exaclty are you looking to do? Olso is always good for a short break and you can buy duty free going over and coming back as there not in the EU but are in the EEA so you dont need a visa. Also you can claim all your VAT back fro mthe Norwegain goverment when you leave. Definetly worth a visit. Nice people there and nice city.

    The black forest in Germany. There are lots of nice villages there and just across the border in france.
